I do not think that it is a secret that the negroni is my favorite cocktail. When I helped open the bar at Enoteca Athena years ago, I created a DIY negroni bar that lives on to this day. When I opened Vessel and Vine’s bar years ago, we had a golden ratio section on the menu that was a very similar concept. There is a reason that I am such a fan of the 1:1:1 ratio when making cocktails - I believe that it is the easiest way to create a complex stirred drink without making the whole shebang overly complicated. And by the whole shebang, I mean both the drink and the process. Bartending is not magic, and that is what I aim to teach in the cocktail classes. Learn the basic rules, and you will be good to go!
